Riverview Animal Clinic: A Home Away From Home For Your Pet

There’s real peace of mind knowing your pet has a trusted, loving home away from home when you need to be away. And that’s exactly what you’ll find at Riverview Animal Clinic.

Whether your pet needs care for a day, a night or several weeks or months, we offer complete boarding facilities for dogs, cats and most exotic animals – as well as attentive, compassionate care from a highly skilled staff who love animals.

Our boarding facility is pretty special, if we do say so ourselves. The resources and amenities we offer include:

  • Boarding guests are walked four times a day to our fenced, outdoor exercise areas.
  • Guests are fed Purina EN gastrointestinal diet for an additional fee, unless you wish to supply your own food! We are unable to accommodate raw diets.
  • Bedding is provided for each guest’s comfort. Boarding guests may bring 2 personal items per stay that are labeled to ensure their safe, clean return. Boarding guests are not allowed to keep toys in their run due to potential risk of foreign body ingestion.

Extra Tender Loving Care

Plus, for pets staying with us for the day or an extended stay, we offer an Extra Tender Loving Care program that includes:

  • Daily one-on-one playtime for dogs with a staff member in one of our large fenced-in yards, and inside the boarding wards for our feline friends.
  • Activities range from a game of fetch to bird-watching to brushing and belly rubs – whatever your pet prefers.

Safety requirements for boarding animals

To keep all our guests safe, we require all pets to be current on their vaccinations:

  • Dogs must be up to date on rabies, DHPP (a canine vaccine that prevents distemper, parvovirus, parainfluenza, and two types of adenovirus-caused hepatitis), Canine Influenza and Bordetella (a bacterium associated with respiratory disease) vaccines. Dogs must also have a negative fecal test
  • Cats must be current on rabies and FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and panleukopenia)
